Cancun and Riviera Maya first to receive Safe Travels Global Safety Stamp

We are very happy to share that Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean are the first destination on the continent (along with Saudi Arabia, Barcelona, Portugal and Seville) to receive the Global Safety Stamp issued by the World Travel Council and Tourism (WTTC) to destinations that establish standards to guarantee the hygiene of establishments and measures to protect the health of travelers.

What does this mean?

The Safe Travels seal is received by those destinations that comply with the new health guidelines, post contingency COVID-19. guaranteeing the traveler the confidence of being in a safe place, by complying with the maximum health security.

This important stamp allows Cancun and other tourist spots in the Riviera Maya, such as Playa del Carmen and Tulum, to promote tourism safely.

Undoubtedly, the responsibility belongs to everyone, so we must take care of ourselves and adapt to enjoy safe and pleasant travel experiences.

At Paraíso Riviera Maya-Tours we are attached to local legislation in reference to security measures that involve the prevention of Covid-19, as well all our provider comply with regulations and health recommendations concerning protective material and safety inn order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Everybody wellness, families, staff and clients is our top priority, for them the following guidelines will apply:

1-The temperature and wellness of all those taking part in the service will be monitored daily, excluding and maintaining in quarantine any who display fever or symptoms.

2-The temperature of all attendees will be taken, and admission will be denied to those with a temperature of more than 37 degrees Celsius (99 Fahrenheit), and a full refund applied.

3-Bactericidal gel will be available before, during, and after the excursion.

4-The capacity of all vehicles will be reduced to 70% of their maximum capacity.

5-Transportation will be sanitized before customers board the unit, in addition it will be disinfected after each service and deep-cleaned every 24 hours.

6-The use of masks is obligatory. The client must bring their own mask.

7-All our staff (drivers, guides) will wear a mask and gloves throughout the excursion.

8-A safe distance of one metre between clients will be maintained whenever possible.

9-All our clients will use the same seat during the tour, there will be a distance between each seat and the seat will be cleaned every time the client boards.

10-Handing out of printed material such as maps or brochures will be avoided.

11-Showing your voucher on your phone will be enough, it is not necessary to print out.
